Contractor leads from contractor directories

Apr 27, 2008 in Companies, Real Estate

There have been times when yellow pages have helped me find what I need, but those days are long gone. The last time I used the yellow pages to find a contractor was 10 years ago. So if you are looking for work I suggest you modernize your business by getting listed in a business directory. You can get contractor leads from the internet more reliably and have people ready for you just by keeping your website listed in a contractor directory. People find you now by doing a search for a contractor and their city. Its faster and can lead to better results since you can screen the contractors before you contact them. Home improvement and small housing projects have jumped over the last 5 years with a peak above what people thought could be possible. Business is evolving and developing in ways that aid the savvy contractor and penalize those who are resistant to change.

Divorce Attorney helping couples in Bridgeport

Apr 23, 2008 in Education

What I need is some understanding. There has been a lack of it with some friends of mine. They understand me wrong even with my best intentions on helping them. They are going through some difficult times with their marriage and not for bad reasons, just some misunderstandings. I want to help them but I am no expert. They live far from me so I called a friend who is a Bridgeport, CT Divorce Attorney that specializes in helping couples figure out if a marriage is repairable. Most are and it takes a certain touch to work with people who feel hurt and misunderstood. I have a few couples who used this divorce attorney with a lot of success. They worked out their differences and avoided a nasty divorce battle. Taking the right approach with families and marriage is very important.

DVD labels keep me organized

Apr 23, 2008 in Uncategorized

I didn’t realize the extent of my CD and DVD collection until I opened a drawer and 500 DVDs came falling out. I am not sure which are which since the ink is wearing off. I searched around for a better pen but they all eventually wear off. A friend mentioned buying some labels to stick on the DVD and then just writing on that or getting the writing printed on it. That is a pretty good idea. I have another friend who is about to release some music on CD and needs some labels for it. So I searched and found a site called Buskerdoo that provides dvd labels for cheap and use different material that last longer than most. It also works on CDs and goes well with paper inserts that give a much better impression for the quality of CD or DVD. Perfect for my friend who is trying to promote her new band. I don’t need the inserts, but I need labels so I will try out Buskerdoo.

Recruitment Advertising Agency to get the right people

Apr 11, 2008 in Companies

When it comes down to getting the job done, you need to have the right people. I am constantly amazed at who can get hired these days since they seem to not perform once they get the job. Who is at fault here? Were there enough people to choose from for the position? Was the interviewer not awake? Where is the report showing the answers to the tough questions that the applicant gave wonderful answers to? When recruitment is failing, its time to find a Recruitment Advertising Agency that can get you the talent you need. With more and more people graduating college and ready to work long hard hours for you, you need to get them interested in working for you and a recruiting agency can help with the proper advertising strategy. Whether you are in Europe, the UK, USA or Africa, get the right people and the job will do itself.

Humor Sells with Sales Presentation

Apr 09, 2008 in Uncategorized

I have been fortunate with sales recently since I read a few good book on salesmanship. I didn’t use to understand why people decided to buy things that they certainly didn’t need and loved it. I thought the salesman must be excellent, but I didn’t know how they did it. One way is to appeal to the customer in a way they find it fulfills their needs more than they thought. Another is to use humor to sell in a way that draws them in, to you and your product or service. Being able to laugh while selling has some great results. I found a good video on selling called Sales Presentation Training - Humor Sells made by a successful salesman who found the gift of humor to be what he needed. It talks about the reasons why and how to apply that to your own endeavors. I see this to be an untapped resource that can improve your bottomline when the market is slow and sales are harder to come by. Take a look and check it out, then come back and leave me a comment on your thoughts.

Applying for credit cards frequently

Apr 03, 2008 in Uncategorized

When I have time on my hands, I like to shop. I go shopping so often that I can count it as a hobby. I have just a little bit of cash left and use the 10 credit cards I have with me to pay for the rest. I don’t mind buying things on credit since I pay off the balance at the end of the month. My 2 favorite credit cards give me reward points for using it and I even got a free plane ticket from one that offered a contest. I won the contest from spending the most in a short period of time. I apply for a new credit card every 2 months and cancel the old one. I do this to gain the card’s bonuses and not have to complete the rest of the interest rate. When applying for credit cards, get ones that offer extra bonuses in addition to a low introductory rate. If you have too many credit cards on your credit statement, it can hurt you. So, cancel each one that jacked the rate up on you and get a new one.

Keeping your credit revolving is great, but keep a couple cards longterm to show established credit. Getting the best interest rate on purchases if I don’t pay it off fast enough is important, but keeping long-standing credit is vital if you plan on buying a house in the future.
